They came out on top against Community Baptist Christian by a score of 47-36. This was payback for Springfield Christian Academy, who suffered a 49-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, Community Baptist Christian had strong showings from Parker Hawes, who scored eight points along with five steals and two blocks, and Kade Hunt, who scored ten points. It was the first time this season that Hawes posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Bierlein, who scored two points along with three steals.
Springfield Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Community Baptist Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Springfield Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fostoria Baptist Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in Michigan (the Crusaders are ranked 155th, while the are ranked 444th). As for Community Baptist Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m.
