Softball Recap: Enterprise Extends Winning Streak to Six

Enterprise had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Mize. Considering Enterprise has won 17 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Meredith Dearman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Marlee Brannan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Dearman wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Enterprise lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Enterprise's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mize, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Enterprise will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mize: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
