It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hatley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hamilton Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Kinsley Echols paced Hatley's offense, picking up 16 kills. Echols got some help from Ella Powell and her 26 assists. Maddie Cook controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Hatley's victory bumped their record up to 17-15. As for Hamilton, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.
Looking ahead, Hatley will head out to challenge Walnut at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
