Walton has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rutherford took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Walton, who comes in off a win.
Even though Walton has not done well against Pensacola Catholic recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Walton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Pensacola Catholic. The win was just what Walton needed coming off of a 5-2 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Rutherford didn't get the result they wanted in their first game with Mosley on Thursday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 4-2 defeat they were dealt on Thursday when they meet later in the season.
The victory got Walton back to even at 4-4-2. As for Rutherford, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-2 record this season.
