Northeast Metro RVT unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Innovation Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Somerville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Everett 74-35. While losing is never fun, Somerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Everett is ranked 78th).
Northeast Metro RVT's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9. As for Somerville, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
