The Jimtown Jimmies will square off against the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jimtown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Jimtown will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Bremen on Tuesday. The Jimmies put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 11-2 win. The game was the first time the Jimmies have beaten the Lions on their field since May 12, 2016.
Claire Carlson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks.
