This season hasn't been kind to the Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Cougars, who are still winless after their eighth contest. Their tough 51-28 defeat to Rio Lindo Adventist on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-17 score last time.
Rio Lindo Adventist can attribute much of their success to Hunter McNunn, who scored 12 points along with four steals. McNunn hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of McKinley Ingham, who scored five points along with two steals.
Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy dropped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy will take on the Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Summerfield Waldorf is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
