Mt. Markham was the  9-8 winner over Sauquoit Valley when they last played one another  back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Mt. Markham Mustangs fell just short of the Sauquoit Valley Indians by a score of  3-2 on Monday. Mt. Markham has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Nathan Pcola was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Owen Jones, who  went 3-for-4 with a  double.
 Mt. Markham's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sauquoit Valley, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Markham will take on Cooperstown at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Sauquoit Valley, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Frankfort-Schuyler at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
