The Seekonk Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-47 to Dighton-Rehoboth Regional. Seekonk was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dighton-Rehoboth Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Seekonk still got an impressive performance from Johnny Payne, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Pereira, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Seekonk's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9. As for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.
Seekonk will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Bridgewater at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (West Bridgewater is ranked 237th, while Seekonk is ranked 223rd). As for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, they will head out on the road to face off against Old Rochester Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
