The Granby Memorial Bears entered their tilt with the Bolton Bulldogs with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Granby Memorial took down Bolton 54-39 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Granby Memorial, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Bolton still got an impressive performance from Makenna Graves, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Graves has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Niya Islam was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Granby Memorial's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Bolton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.
Granby Memorial and Ellington will face off at 6:45 p.m. on February 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ellington will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Granby Memorial surely won't give up without a fight.
