The Jesus Chapel Chargers lost against the El Paso HomeSchool Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jesus Chapel took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Paso HomeSchool.
El Paso HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Neubauer, who scored 16 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Neubauer scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Walls, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Jesus Chapel bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.7 points per game. As for El Paso HomeSchool, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Jesus Chapel will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on El Paso HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for El Paso HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
