Sequoyah had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 17-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Oklahoma Union Cougars with a sharp 11-3 win. Considering the Eagles have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Oklahoma Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. The game marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

For Oklahoma Union's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Dean, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will face off against Adair at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oklahoma Union, they will host Skiatook at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
