Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houlton). They came out on top against the Hodgdon Hawks by a score of 50-42 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Shiretowners as it spelled an end to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Houlton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Hodgdon, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Houlton will venture away from home to challenge Caribou at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Caribou will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Houlton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hodgdon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-42 loss against Greater Houlton Christian Academy on the 27th.
