Cathedral Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Warriors 55-23 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cathedral Academy has managed all season.
Cathedral Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalyn Almeida, who scored 20 points. Almeida is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Griffin, who scored 16 points.
Andrew Jackson Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bella Carrigg, who scored nine points along with two steals. That was a full 39.1% of Andrew Jackson Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cathedral Academy pushed their record up to 14-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game.
