The St. Joseph Wildcats will venture away from home to  challenge the Middle Township Panthers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Joseph has three straight  wins, Middle Township has nine straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
St. Joseph took  a  49-point  defeat the last time they faced off against Oakcrest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Falcons  23-20.

 A big part of St. Joseph's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Anthony Salamone and his top target  Cole Brubaker. Salamone threw for 214 yards and two  touchdowns while  Brubaker picked up 86 receiving yards and one  score. Those  214  passing yards gave  Salamone a new career-high.
 Meanwhile,  it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  47-14, which was the final score in Middle Township's tilt against Absegami on Friday.
