Orchard Farm scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 52-44 to the Jersey Panthers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Meredith Gray was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine boards for Jersey. With that strong performance, Gray is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Breden, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Orchard Farm's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jersey, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Orchard Farm will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Point at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Jersey, they will host Waterloo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
