The Concrete Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-37 defeat at the hands of Friday Harbor. Concrete was down 61-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Pierce Kleine went supernova for Friday Harbor, scoring 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kleine has scored all season. Jack Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Concrete has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Friday Harbor, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concrete won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Orcas Island's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Friday Harbor, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lobos at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lopez is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
