South Lyon is 1-6 against Novi since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Lyon Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Novi Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.
South Lyon couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Franklin by a score of 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Novi made easy work of Berkley on Tuesday and carried off a 53-32 win.
Aaron Lauer was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Chase LeFevre, who scored 9 points.
South Lyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Novi, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
South Lyon ended up a good deal behind Novi when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 47-33. Can South Lyon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
