Northview posted their closest victory since October 22, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Portage Northern Huskies 2-1. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

The win got Northview back to even at 3-3. As for Portage Northern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Northview and Wyoming will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Portage Northern, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central at 6:30 p.m. on September 10.
