The Timberline Spartans were the 56-49 winner over the Highland Huskies when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Timberline fell just short of Highland by a score of 47-44.
Highland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Goeckner out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Watson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Timberline has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Highland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.
Timberline will be playing at home against Genesee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will head out on the road to challenge Kootenai at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
