The Larimore Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Dakota Prairie Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Larimore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Saturday, Larimore made easy work of Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] and carried off a 64-44 win.
Larimore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Myers hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gratton, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.
Meanwhile, even though Warwick scored an imposing 78 points last Thursday, Dakota Prairie still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Dakota Prairie made off with a 79-78 win over Warwick. Dakota Prairie's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Larimore's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Dakota Prairie, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Larimore lost to Dakota Prairie on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Larimore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
