The DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals will head out to face off against the Lakeview Sailors at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
DuBois Central Catholic barely beat St. Marys the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals never let the Flying Dutch get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.
Blake Pisarcik made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

DuBois Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Marys only posted an OBP of .421.
Lakeview came out on top against Jamestown on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Sailors were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Muskies. The high-scoring effort was just what the Sailors needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Tanner Vincent spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.
On the hitting side, Lakeview got a massive performance out of Jonny Husband, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lucas Fagley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
DuBois Central Catholic's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. DuBois Central Catholic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lakeview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
