After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gouverneur, The Massena Raiders were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 24-12 victory over Canton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Massena also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Massena got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Conner Eastwood out in front who threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Massena also got help from Dominic Murtagh who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Massena's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.3 points per game. As for Canton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Massena will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Potsdam at 1:30 p.m. Potsdam and Massena are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
