The Tidewater Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 51-39 to Fuqua. Tidewater Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fuqua apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Fuqua had a senior duo take command as Mason Pleasants went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists and Sam Minix scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pleasants has scored all season. Ransom Clark was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Tidewater Academy bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fuqua, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.
Tidewater Academy will face off against Banner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fuqua, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southampton Academy at 7:00 p.m. Southampton Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
