Parma hasn't had much luck against Homedale recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will host the Trojans at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Parma beat Weiser 8-4.
Kaden Cole was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Obenchain, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Parma: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Jacob Mikelson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Homedale came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Pilgrims 22-9. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Parma, Homedale also got a great game from a two-way player: Xavier Uranga. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Uranga was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Chance Martell was incredible, firing off three triples, five runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was William Dunne, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Homedale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Homedale pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Parma, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.
