Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Fellowship Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abilene Christian Panthers on Wednesday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Fellowship Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhyia Ray, who posted eight points and seven steals. Ray has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Ross, who scored eight points and six steals.

Fellowship Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 26-3. As for Abilene Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Fellowship Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Abilene Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-39 loss against Live Oak Classical on the 27th.
