Jellico's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Bolton, who scored 23 points along with five steals. The contest was Bolton's 13th in a row with at least ten points. John Zecchini was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
West Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Jellico, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
West Ridge will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Johnson County at 8:00 p.m. on February 6, 2024. Jellico won't have much time to rest: their next match is against King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (King's Academy is ranked 282nd, while Jellico is ranked 261st).
