Flag Football Recap: Littleton Skates Past Kennedy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Littleton). They breezed past the Kennedy Commanders to the tune of 55-0 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Littleton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josie Wallrath out in front who picked up 53 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 53 receiving yards gave Wallrath a new career-high. Ava Martin was in the mix too, providing Littleton with two scores.

Littleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off eight passes before the game was over. Martin led the group effort, picking up five of those interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Littleton's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Kennedy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littleton will square off against Steamboat Springs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kennedy, they will challenge Monarch at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
