The Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Shelbyville, posting a 60-32 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Franklin Community who now have seven in a row.
Franklin Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Erica Buening out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Lauren Klem was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Franklin Community pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Shelbyville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Franklin Community will be home for the holidays to greet Zionsville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Zionsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. Shelbyville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Madison is ranked 145th, while Shelbyville is ranked 168th).
