Having just played yesterday, the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas will head out on the road to face off against the Tempe Prep Knights at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Sequoia Pathway Academy and three for the Knights.
On Monday, Sequoia Pathway Academy took a serious blow against the Eagles, falling 43-4. While losing is never fun, Sequoia Pathway Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Eagles are ranked 83rd).
Meanwhile, Tempe Prep had to suffer through a rough 62-19 loss at the hands of the Wolves. Tempe Prep has struggled against the Wolves recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Sequoia Pathway Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Tempe Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Sequoia Pathway Academy ended up a good deal behind the Knights in their previous matchup back in January, losing 56-39. Can Sequoia Pathway Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
