The Rancocas Valley Red Devils will take on the Sterling Silver Knights at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Rancocas Valley is ranked 160th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 170th).
Last Thursday, Rancocas Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to the Cougars. Rancocas Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Sterling's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The contest between them and Woodbury wasn't particularly close, with Sterling falling 66-52. Sterling has not had much luck with the Thundering Herd recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ireland Kay, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Erin Quinn was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Rancocas Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Rancocas Valley came up short against the Silver Knights in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, falling 55-44. Can Rancocas Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
