Patrick Vibbard and Billy Kozak provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Chenango Forks. The connection was good for 70 yards, the longest such play in Section 4 C Division V this season.
The Blue Devils extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sidney, 31-30. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Vibbard and Kozak proved tough for the Blue Devils to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Vibbard threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns and Kozak had 96 yards receiving. Damian Zimmer helped Sidney's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
Dan Treadwell was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 86 yards as Greene fell to Chenango Forks. Trevor Parrish also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
Sidney's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Vibbard has thrown for 564 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Kozak has nine catches for 254 yards. Nate McDonald leads the league in rushing with 543 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Blue Devils take on Newark Valley. At the moment, Chenango Forks is in first, while the Cardinals are in third.
The Blue Devils and Jeff Matthews' team played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Blue Devils eventually emerging with a 31-30 victory.
