There's no place like home for the Chase County Longhorns, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over Hershey on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chase County also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chase County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Jablonski, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camron Lempke, who scored ten points along with two steals.
The win got Chase County back to even at 8-8. As for Hershey, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.
Chase County will take on Southern Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hershey, they will be playing at home against Mullen on Tuesday. Mullen will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Hershey is ranked 100th).
