Bayshore hasn't had much luck against Booker recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. Bayshore will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Bayshore is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past IMG Academy State to the tune of 57-7 on Thursday. The Bruins pushed the score to 51-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Ascenders cut but never quite recovered from.
Jaydis Wiley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 257 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jayden Gibson got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Gibson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Bayshore didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ky'Mani Reed and Marquis Spry. Spry is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Booker entered their tilt with Lely on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Trojans.
Bayshore better keep an eye on Joel Morris. He was instrumental in Booker's win, throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 31 yards and one score. What's more, Morris racked up 148.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Booker's leading receiver Tyren Wortham was Morris' top target yet again, picking up 148 receiving yards and one TD.
Bayshore's record is now 4-1. As for Booker, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Wiley and Morris. Wiley just won't slow down this season and has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 210.4 passing yards per game. Morris has been a dominant force too and has thrown 13 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 245.2 passing yards per game.
Bayshore took a serious blow against Booker when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-0. Thankfully for the Bruins, Ryan Downes (who threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
