Pleasantville strolled past Putnam Valley with points to spare last Saturday, taking the contest 31-14. Senior Jack Howe was the offensive standout of the match for Pleasantville, as he passed for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns. Howe has been a consistent playmaker for Pleasantville as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Peekskill received a tough blow as they fell 22-40 to Pelham Memorial. Peekskill were down by 6-40 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Pleasantville's win lifted them to 4-1 while Peekskill's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Pleasantville's success rolls on or if Peekskill are able to steal their positive momentum.
