Murrieta Valley (Murrieta, Calif.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Jacob Augustin ran for a touchdown with with 2:00 to go in the third quarter, bringing the team to victory over
Eisenhower (Rialto, Calif.) 35-27.
The score was knotted at 21 heading into the half. The Nighthawks took the lead for good on a touchdown run by Augustin in the third quarter.
Andrew Blake stood out for Murrieta Valley in the win. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
Jerrion Burton made a difference for the Eagles. The senior ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to eight on the year.
Eisenhower came in allowing just 11.7 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Eisenhower defeated Redlands 14-7 last week. With the win MV extended its winning streak to three games.
