The Riverside Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 83-30 win over Elba on the road. Riverside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 27 points or more this season.
Riverside can attribute much of their success to Dane Schalk, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Larry Diessner, who scored 13 points.
When it comes to explaining why Elba lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Adams. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with two steals. That was a full 53.3% of Elba's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Samuel Knob was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Riverside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Elba, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Riverside will be playing at home against Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside is coming into the contest with six straight wins at home, so Hampton is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Elba, they will head out on the road to challenge Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Elba a 13-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
