The Carson City-Crystal Eagles will be playing at home against the St. Charles Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Carson City-Crystal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Carson City-Crystal was handed a 27-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Comets on Saturday. Carson City-Crystal skirted past the Comets 44-42. The victory was just what Carson City-Crystal needed coming off of a 60-33 loss in their prior game.
Cole Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Grayson Ackels, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, St. Charles' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-33 walloping at the hands of Montabella. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Charles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.
Carson City-Crystal's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for St. Charles, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.
Carson City-Crystal came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 36-33. Will Carson City-Crystal repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
