Elko is a perfect 4-0 against White Pine since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Elko will take on White Pine at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Elko and Spring Creek meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. Elko came out on top against Spring Creek by a score of 14-10. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ethan Kraintz was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Omar Salaz also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Elko was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, while White Pine put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for GV Christian. White Pine put the hurt on GV Christian with a sharp 19-0 victory. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.
Maddox Sedlacek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Jackson Armstrong was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tucker Maestes, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Elko's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for White Pine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
Elko took their victory against White Pine in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Elko repeat their success, or does White Pine has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
