The La Center Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Omak Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
La Center put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Elma at home to the tune of 50-7. Given La Center's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Elma is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
La Center's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Houston Coyle led the charge by rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Jalen Ward was another key contributor, rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Omak entered their tilt with Deer Park with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Omak claimed a resounding 47-17 victory over Deer Park at home.
La Center has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.2 points per game. As for Omak, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
