The Chaparral Cowboys will venture away from home to  square off against the Clark Chargers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clark took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Chaparral, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Chaparral made easy work of Amplus Academy  and carried off  a  3-0 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cowboys.
 While Chaparral won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17,  25-23.

Chaparral's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Liam Bade, who  had ten  kills and two  blocks, and   Jordan Pierce, who  had 14  kills, six  digs,  and two  aces. Pierce has been hot for a while, having  posted five or more  kills the last 57 times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Joseph Cunanan, who  had nine  digs and four  aces.
 They weren't the only good server: Chaparral  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with ten  aces. They are 8-4 when  they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Clark came up short against Spring Valley on Thursday and fell  3-1. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Clark was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Spring Valley work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 26-24,  25-22.
 Chaparral will need to focus on slowing down  Theodore Birdsong, one of several Clark players who made an impact when they last played. He  had three  aces and one  block. The team also got some help courtesy of  Michael Chung, who  had 13  kills and three  blocks.
 Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Chaparral,  the  win  got them back to even at 15-15.
 Chaparral took their  victory against Clark  in their previous meeting  on April 4th by a conclusive  3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
