The CenTex HomeSchool Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 49-27 defeat at the hands of Valor Preparatory Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for CenTex HomeSchool in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.
Valor Preparatory Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bennett Herman led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Duke G, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
CenTex HomeSchool's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
CenTex HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valor Preparatory Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Angels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bell County HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Knights like a good challenge.
