Cumberland Gap will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Hancock County in at 7:30 PM.
Cumberland Gap had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Last Friday, they narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Union County 15-13. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Meanwhile, Hancock County made easy work of Cosby last week and carried off a 37-7 victory. Hancock County was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Cumberland Gap to 1-0 and Hancock County to 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Watch the game and check back in with MaxPreps for details.
