The Ayden - Grifton Chargers were the 51-47 winner over the Greene Central Rams when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Ayden - Grifton fell 42-35 to Greene Central on Wednesday.
Greene Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Azaria Mumford, who scored ten points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was An'nysha Wooten, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Ayden - Grifton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Greene Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Southern Wayne the next time they take the court. Ayden - Grifton will head out to face Southern Wayne at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Greene Central will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
