Red River had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Thursday they take on Sheyenne at 7:00 PM. Red River have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Sheyenne are surely hoping to exploit.
Red River came up short against Fargo North, falling 3-12. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Red River.
Meanwhile, Sheyenne put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They took the contest and then some with a 47-0 victory over Grand Forks Central. The win was familiar territory for Sheyenne, who now have six in a row.
Sheyenne's win lifted them to 6-1 while Red River's loss dropped them down to 3-4. We'll see if Sheyenne's success rolls on or if Red River are able to steal their positive momentum.
