The Eastern Mennonite Flames entered their tilt with the King Abdullah Academy Falcons with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Eastern Mennonite walked away with a 76-64 victory over King Abdullah Academy on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Drew Hatter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 39 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Shawn Valentine was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Eastern Mennonite pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for King Abdullah Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.
Coincidentally, Eastern Mennonite and King Abdullah Academy will both be playing The Covenant the next time they take the court. Eastern Mennonite will host The Covenant at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while King Abdullah Academy will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
