While Linton-Stockton's win against Owen Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miners had just enough and edged out the Patriots 6-5 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Miners have won by just one run.

Linton-Stockton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. Having lost for the first time this season, Owen Valley fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Linton-Stockton is taking a road trip to face off against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Owen Valley, they will head out to square off against South Putnam at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
