In what's become a running theme this season, the Eaglecrest Raptors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 76-15 victory over Smoky Hill. Given Eaglecrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Smoky Hill is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shyann Farbes was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Bobb, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Eaglecrest has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Smoky Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Eaglecrest will head out on the road to take on Overland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Smoky Hill, they will be playing at home against Cherokee Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee Trail is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
