It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Collins Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on Puckett with a sharp 50-30 victory. Collins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Collins' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tykedric Barnes, who rushed for 38 yards and three touchdowns. Donte Booth got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Collins' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Puckett, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Collins will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Loyd Star at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Loyd Star is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games. Puckett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
