String Theory is 0-4 against Olney since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. String Theory will head out on the road to face off against the Olney Trojans at 3:15 p.m. Hopefully String Theory focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
String Theory pushed their score all the way to 62, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Paul Robeson 66-62. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for String Theory in their matchups with Paul Robeson: they've now lost five in a row.
String Theory's defeat came about despite a quality game from Justus Robertson, who scored 29 points along with 3 steals. Robertson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Pezzetti, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Olney came up short against Frankford on Tuesday and fell 55-48. Olney has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Paul Robeson's victory pushed their record up to 1-2, while String Theory's defeat dropped theirs down to 2-1.
String Theory ended up a good deal behind Olney in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, losing 56-37. Can String Theory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
